Resilient Dorks: Workshops & Meetups
Resilient Dorks is about helping our community develop and implement mental wellness skills. It consists of two parts: workshops and meetups.
Workshops — A space to learn mental wellness skills (meet 1/month)
Meetups — A support group to help each other grow (meet 3/ month)
We Made a Workbook. The Plan.
Self-improvement works better with a plan and some intention. We created a 100-page workbook to help. The workbook captures exercises that spur reflection. These exercises are what’s helped us in moments of challenge. Maybe they can help you too. In our meetups, we use this workbook to guide our discussions.
Meet Mily, author of the workbook & first host of our meetups
Mily, diagnosed as bipolar, has been hospitalized twice for her episodes of mania. She has developed tremendous resilience since her hospitalizations. She has learned how to not only cope, but grow. She’s sharing what she has learned with our community by hosting dork meetups. In her events and her booklet, she hopes to help people on their mental wellness journeys. She is sharing mental health practices that worked well for her. She thinks they might be helpful for you too.
