The year that we captured the story behind starting Dork Dancing

  1. Ethan’s full & part time work was the largest unaccounted expense. Ethan transitioned from full time to part time at Dork Dancing because he moved from Vietnam to the United States, where he needed to look for work that would pay the bills.

  2. The documentary was the second largest expense of the year. The documentary was needed to capture and communicate our story. The creative team was small but mighty. The team contributed a lot of sweat, blood, and tears on this one, at a near free rate.

  3. Freelance contract work was the next biggest expenses. The bulk of this expense involved supporting key dork volunteers in the community during a financially difficult time (due to COVID19 lockdowns).

  4. Web expenses grew (website, design, domains, zoom, music licensing, scheduling) as creative needs grew. Equipment expenses grew as well as we developed a volunteer team in Da Nang, Vietnam.
