Thanh’s Morning Challenge
The third lockdown has been tolling and we’re ready to break free, again. Moving forward Thanh, an active dork in our community, is going to ramp up the stakes: he’s going to dork dance every morning from 5:30-6:30 AM. Thanh is ready for this self-designed, self-inflicted morning challenge -- and we couldn’t be more excited (lol).
Michael, a dork dancing host, first introduced this idea to our community a couple weeks before our third lockdown commenced. Thanh is picking up right where Michael started and it makes a lot of sense.
There’s opportunity. The Vietnamese in Da Nang really do like to wake up early. There’s a large population of early risers who are inspired to be active, stay healthy, and enjoy the beach sunrise. They have good reason. Now, moving forward, #dorkdancing will be there too.
Thanh is someone who dances VERY freely. He loves to dance and isn't so concerned about judgment. He understands WHY we are #dorkdancing, and for that reason he is confident in his purpose. Dancing alone outside is something that is already exciting for him.
You see, you win right away when you can enjoy dancing alone. It’s this kind of willingness that will make the journey rewarding no matter what. Even if nobody joins Thanh, Thanh still wins, because he will be enjoying himself -- having fun and getting exercise -- dancing on the beach every morning.
Like going on a morning jog, #dorkdancing for mental health is a happiness, wellness practice. It’s something that we can actively do in private or public spaces to feel better, for ourselves and others.
Thanh is an expert dork dancer and his positive energy is infectious. Can’t wait to see how Thanh does with his morning challenge. Wish him luck, or join him. He would love to see you out there!
